Hall of Fame Inductee: Johnnie Wilson

Johnnie Wilson is our sales representative for Florence and surrounding areas. Recently, he earned a significant award for his diligence. Johnnie Wilson was inducted into the 2019 Shoals Association of Home Builders Hall of Fame. The hall of fame recognizes certain individuals who show significance in the housing industry in the northwest Alabama region. Johnnie Wilson has worked for Classic Closets for over 15 years. He has always shown great work ethic and kindness towards our customers.

Active Roles & Other Awards:

Johnnie is very active in several clubs and organizations. He is a member of First United Methodist Church in Haleyville, AL. He is a member of the American Legion Post 33 in Haleyville, AL. He was the past Post Commander of the American Legion. He’s engaged in the Shoals Home Builders Association, where he was past Associate Council President and he has been on the Board of Directors for three years. In both 2015 and 2018, he was named SHBA Associate of the Year. In 2019, he volunteered his free time to help the association with something known as the “Helen Keller Project”. Johnnie, along with several others in the association, traveled to Helen Keller’s birthplace in Tuscumbia, AL and helped construct a new stage and other aspects needed for the Miracle Worker play performed every year.

Hall of Fame Inductee: Jim Jones

Jim Jones is our sales representative for Huntsville, Madison and surrounding areas. In the year of 1995, he was inducted into the Huntsville Madison County Builders Association Hall of Fame. Additionally, he was inducted into the Alabama Building Industry Hall of Fame in 2000. Jim has been working for Classic Closets for over 8 years, and has been working in the building industry for 48+ years.

Active Roles & Other Awards:

Jim puts a great deal of effort and time into numerous clubs and organizations. He has played a persistent role in the National Home Builders Association of Alabama since 1986 and the HBAA since the 1990’s. He was elected Huntsville Associate of the Year in 1987. He served a three year term on the Board of Directors (1997-1999) for the Associate Builders & Contractors of North Alabama. He has served on the golf tournament committee, Building Home & Remodeling Show Committee, Remodelers Council Steering Committee and many more. He has put a lot of his time into the ABPAC committee, making sure the new construction for the annual showcase homes will have all the funds they need for a successful parade. In the year of 1994 & 2008, he was named State of Alabama Associate of the Year. Jim sat on many Board of Directors meetings for the HMCBA and is currently on the National Home Builders Association Board of Directors. After serving ten years on the board, in 1997, he became a Local Life Director. He has also served as Chairman, Co-Chairman, Secretary and 2nd Vice President of several committees he commits his time to.
